languages in /api/v1/instance should allow all parts of ISO 639
Now the document says the field
languages in the
/api/v1/instance must be ISO6391. This must be a typo of ISO 639-1, but this seems not to be enough.
The 2-letter codes in the ISO 639-1 are two few to the world's human beings. The 3-letter codes in the ISO 639-2 and 639-3 also had better to be allowed. This must be good for the linguistic diversity of the world.
The special codes in ISO 639-3 are also convenient. For example, the code mis (uncoded languages) is good for the dolphin's supersonic language. (See also https://dolphin.town)
This document is referred by not only Mastodon developers, but also Mastodon compatible implementations such as Misskey or Pleroma. Some Misskey developers are talking about this API, especially the restriction of the ISO 639-1. Thank you.
